Youth of Achievement Award
This award recognizes community service by a student who is currently in grades 9-12.
One of the primary goals of the Indiana Women’s Education Foundation and especially the Conni Richards Youth Fund, established by the Board in January of 1992 in memory of Conni Richards, is to have teens take a proactive role with regard to their futures. One way to help the young is through the essay contest.
Youth of Achievement Award
The Youth of Achievement Award is funded through the Conni Richards Youth Fund. This award is presented to a student who is currently in grades 9-12, based on their volunteer/community involvement. The Youth of Achievement Award recipient is to be someone truly making a difference in their area. This is NOT an academic nor an athletic award, but a true community distinction. For example: greener neighborhood, cleaning up community, etc. Each district award winner will be honored during the State Convention Luncheon, and will be awarded a certificate and $25.00. Contact your local organization for more information and criteria.
